LIVING A MEANINGFUL LIFE: ACT WORKBOOK AND REFLECTIVE JOURNAL


So often people come to therapy saying that they feel lost, that something in their lives feels not quite right or that life feels meaningless and without purpose. The purpose of this ACT workbook and reflective psychotherapy journal is to help people who are looking to discover and build a life they love through ACT therapy in an easy and accessible way without the supervision of a professionally trained mental health professional.

This book is separated into three sections;

• Introduction
This section consists of a brief overview of the book, a description of the process of ACT and an explanation of how you can use the concepts of values clarification and committed action, to build a life of meaning and purpose.

• Core Values, Beliefs and Goal Setting
In this section we explore and clarify the things that we hold personally meaningful. This section consists of a series of values exercises to help you establish your unique core value system as well as a selection of exercises to help you identify and create actionable mini goals, translating your intentions into real achievable goals that you can use to guide your journey to discovering a life you love.

• Personal Progress Log
This section consists of 28 sets of values check in sheets, which you can use on a weekly basis to assess how you are progressing in your journey to realign your life to your core values system. These sheets are best used during your weekly protected reflection time where you can write about how you are feeling, what is currently going on in your life, how closely you are living in alignment with your values, how you got on with meeting your mini goals for the previous week and set goals for the week going forward.
